At Trickle Up, we are building a dedicated AI Animation Studio producing cinematic animated content for broadcast and digital platforms. We operate at the cutting edge of AI-powered animation and we are looking for animators who understand both the craft of traditional animation and the power of modern AI workflows.

About the Role

As an AI Animator you will bring characters and stories to life through a combination of AI animation tools and traditional animation principles. You will work from approved storyboard frames to create cinematic character performances, fluid camera movements, and high-quality animated sequences — refining and correcting AI-generated output where necessary to meet the highest production standards.

This role requires someone who genuinely understands animation as a craft, not just as a prompt-and-generate process. You will need to identify where AI falls short and step in with the skills and tools to make it right.

What You Will Do

1. Create AI-generated animations from approved storyboard frames and visual references
2. Animate characters with believable acting, realistic expressions, and natural body mechanics
3. Develop cinematic camera movements that support the story and emotional tone of each scene
4. Produce custom animations where AI output requires refinement or enhancement
5. Maintain animation consistency across all scenes throughout a production
6. Identify, troubleshoot, and correct issues in AI-generated motion
7. Collaborate closely with the Visual Development Artist and Video Editor throughout the production pipeline

What We Are Looking For

1. Strong working knowledge of core animation principles — squash and stretch, ease in and out, anticipation, follow through, and secondary action
2. Demonstrated ability in character acting and body mechanics
3. Understanding of camera language and cinematic storytelling through movement
4. Precise control of timing and spacing to create natural, organic motion
5. Ability to maintain motion consistency across multi-scene productions
6. Strong problem-solving skills with the capacity to iterate rapidly

3. Luma AI (preferred)

Traditional Animation Software

1. Adobe After Effects (required)
2. Blender (required)
3. Cinema 4D (preferred)
4. Unreal Engine (preferred)

Nice to Have

1. Experience with motion capture workflows
2. Facial animation and lip sync expertise
3. Physics simulation knowledge
4. VFX basics
